The Body of Medical Herbalists

Medical Herbalists are Certified Herbal Medicine Professionals who have graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi and are *licensed by the Traditional Medicine Practice Council(TMPC) of the Ministry of Health with a primary mandate of providing quality and safe herbal medicine and related services across the country*. Currently, there are about fifty five (55) Government Hospitals, other privately owned Herbal Clinics/Hospitals as well as other government agencies with Medical Herbalists at Post across Ghana. Consult a certified Medical Herbalists when in doubt about the use of all Herbal Medicines. Ask to see a Medical Herbalist when you visit any Government Hospital, any Privately owned Hospital rendering Herbal Medicine Services.
