It has come to the notice of the Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists (GAMH) that certain people, elements or associations are using the name of the Professional Association to peddle influence and perpetuate fraud.
We are hereby cautioning political parties, policymakers, Academic institutions, and the government of Ghana that decisions and policies on the integration of Herbal Medicine in the Ghana Health Service (government hospitals) are solely undertaken by Medical Herbalists.
Engagement on such issues must be directed to and formally taken in consultation with the Association.
Dangers of non-representation or lack of appropriate representation creates situations of abuse and mistrust in the public confidence in accessing quality Herbal Medicine Services in Ghana.
Such persons or associations who may be seen to fraudulently represent or engage in influence peddling in regards to the Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists (GAMH) will be legally dealt with.
